NOTE: “As the crow flies” the school is directly behind, and east
of, the ball fields at Claude Moore Park. Matter of fact, it appears you can
see the school building from the ball fields at Claude Moore Park (hence the
name?). However, there is NO direct access to the school from Claude Moore
Park, and vice-versa.
From Centreville/Fairfax:
- Get yourself to Route 28 northbound.
- Continue on Route 28 approximately 10 miles.
- Continue past the Holiday Inn, on your right.
- Turn right at the next traffic light onto Sterling Blvd. (Rt 846).
- Travel 2.5 miles on Sterling Blvd.
- Continue past Church Road (last traffic light before Laurel).
- Continue past E. Laurel Ave. that you will see on the right.
- Turn left onto W. Laurel Ave., the first left after the traffic light at Church Road. NOTE: there is no traffic light at this intersection.
- Continue on W. Laurel Ave. to the school at the end of the street.
Approximate distance: 16 miles
Travel time: approximately 25 minutes
Alternate Route (near Claude Moore Park):
- Get yourself to Route 28 northbound.
- Continue on Route 28 approximately 11 miles.
- Turn right onto Church Rd.
- Continue past Cascades Pkwy (where you would turn to get to Claude Moore Park).
- Turn left onto Sterling Blvd. (Rt 846).
- Take your first left onto W. Laurel Ave.
- Continue on W. Laurel Ave. to the school at the end of the street.
